A growing collection of practical tools, resources and creative approaches that I’ve developed, helped to create, or regularly draw on in my work.

They’re here to explore, share and use — whether you’re planning a workshop, bringing people together or looking for new ways to approach an idea. If you need something more specific, I also work with organisations and teams to develop engaging, accessible resources of their own.

Innovation to Action

A participatory tool for helping individuals and groups think through and shape their ideas, actions, products, services or projects.

Starting with why, it uses a series of simple questions and suggested participatory methods to explore purpose, people, vision, possibilities, practicalities and how you’ll know if it’s working — helping move from purpose to action.

I use this tool myself to shape discovery days and workshops — sometimes focusing in on a particular area, and sometimes using the whole framework to guide a process from initial thinking through to clear next steps.

Tools and resources
I’ve helped create

Over the years I’ve had the chance to develop and collaborate on a wide range of tools and resources — designed to make complex ideas more accessible, support learning and conversation, and help people explore, participate and take action. Here are a few open source examples that might be of interest:

I use in my practice:

There are lots of methods, frameworks and communities of practice that influence how I design and facilitate work. These are some of the places I regularly return to for activities, ideas and different ways of approaching participation, collaboration and change.
